Press releases and local media relations in Tenerife
An opening, a significant refurbishment, a service that didn’t exist in the area or an agreement with another company can be news for local media. The problem is almost always the same: the release arrives badly written, with unusable photos, at the newsroom’s generic inbox. We prepare the material and get it to the right person.
Why it matters
Local and regional media in Tenerife publish a great deal of business news from across the island, but they receive dozens of emails a day and work with very little slack. A release with the headline buried mid-paragraph, no concrete facts and a heavy, badly framed photo doesn’t get published, however interesting the story. One that arrives written the way news is written, with usable photos and a named person to expand on it, has far better odds.
We start with the first question: is this news or not? If it isn’t, we say so and look for another angle, because burning a newsroom contact on a thin release is expensive in the medium term. When it is, we write the release with a journalistic structure, prepare the photographs in the format and file size newsrooms actually use, and send it to a media list selected by sector and area — individual emails, not a mass blind-copy.
Afterwards we follow up and collect whatever coverage appeared. What we don’t do is promise appearances: the decision to publish belongs to each outlet and it isn’t bought with a well-made release. If what you want is guaranteed presence, that is paid advertising and a different conversation — one we can also have.
- Something that is actually news. We tell you whether your story stands up before you spend the contact.
- The right outlet. Targeted at whoever covers your sector, not a mass mailing.
- Material ready to use. Release, photos and facts in the format a newsroom needs.

Frequently asked questions
Do you guarantee the story gets published?
No. That is each outlet’s decision. What we do is make sure the release arrives well made, to the right journalist and with usable material — the part that does depend on us.
Do you pay outlets to publish?
Not in this service. If you want guaranteed presence, that is paid advertising, contracted separately, with its cost stated plainly.
Can anything be a press release?
No, and we’ll tell you. A seasonal promotion usually isn’t news; an opening or a service that’s new to the area can be.
Can you handle it if a journalist calls us?
We can prepare your messages and support you, but the person speaking for the business is you.
